What are the advantages of nanocrystals

Nanocrystalline magnetic ring (ultramicrystalline iron core) has the advantages of silicon steel, permalloy and ferrite. That is:

1.High magnetic inductance: saturated magnetic inductance Bs = 1.2T, which is twice that of permalloy and 2.5 times that of ferrite. The power density of the iron core is high, which can reach 15 kW ~ 20kW/kg.

2.High permeability: the static initial permeability μ0 can be as high as 120,000 ~ 140,000, which is comparable with permo alloy. The permeability of the power transformer core is more than 10 times that of ferrite, which greatly reduces the excitation power and improves the efficiency of the transformer.

3.Low loss: in 20kHz ~ 50kHz frequency range is ferrite 1/2 ~ 1/5, reduce core temperature rise.

4.High curie temperature: the Curie temperature of nanocrystal magnetic ring (ultramicrystal iron core) is 570℃, and the Curie temperature of ferrite is only 180℃ ~ 200℃

1.The loss is small, the temperature rise of the transformer is low, and the long-term practical use of a large number of users has proved that the temperature rise of the nanocrystalline transformer is much lower than that of the IGBT pipe.

2.The high permeability of the iron core reduces the excitation power, reduces the copper loss and improves the efficiency of the transformer. The primary inductance of the transformer is large, which reduces the impact of current on the IGBT tube when switching.

3.High working magnetic induction, high power density, up to 15Kw/kg. The volume of the core is reduced. In particular, the volume of high-power inverter increases the space in the chassis, which is conducive to the heat dissipation of IGBT tubes.

4.Transformer overload capacity is strong, because the working magnetic induction selection is about 40% of the saturation magnetic induction, when the overload occurs, only because of the magnetic induction increases heat, and will not damage the IGBT pipe because of the core saturation.

5.The Curie temperature of nanocrystalline magnetic ring (ultramicrystalline iron core) is high. Assuming that the temperature reaches more than 100℃, the ferrite transformer can no longer work, and the nanocrystalline transformer can work normally.


These advantages of nanocrystalline have been recognized and adopted by more and more power supply manufacturers.
