Under normal circumstances, there will be many problems in the operation of current transformers, especially in the secondary open circuit, so the problem can be found quickly, and can be solved in time, basically without any delay.

I.When the current transformer is found to be open twice, first of all, it is necessary to distinguish the fault point and the different phases of the switch, and whether the whole protection will be affected. The situation is reported and scheduled, and the possible misoperation will be directly removed.

II.The primary load current can be reduced as far as possible. If the damage of the current transformer is serious, the load should be transferred, and the power should be directly cut off for treatment and inspection.

III.Short-circuit the current transformer twice at the nearest test terminal, then check the open point and use a relatively good short connection.

IV.If the short process, there is a spark, that shows that the short is effective, but also that the fault point is in the circuit of the short contact.

V.On the contrary, if the short process does not appear any spark, that means the short is not any effect, and the point of failure should not be in the loop.

VI.Transfer the secondary short-circuit operation mode of the current transformer to power off and check. When the current transformer is switched on and off again, it is necessary to use insulating tools and bring relevant tools such as gloves with good insulation effect.
